I have been a practising counsellor in Bath for the past 22 years. I am an Accredited Counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) since 2001. I am committed to providing Counselling and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy MBCT in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

I am also experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT. I usually work in an interactive and collaborative manner which helps develop trust and provides you with information and insights that you can utilise to further help yourself address the issues you are struggling with. My short term therapy approach also has similarities to life coaching and solution focused therapy. My longer term therapy is more focused on you exploring the inner parts of yourself including your mindful aware self which is central to being able to manage one's thoughts. emotions, behaviours and the different parts of ourselves.

As a counsellor and therapist I work with both individuals and couples. I use mindfulness and the principles behind mindfulness as a framework to help you become more aware and non judgemental of your thoughts, beliefs, feelings, behaviours as well as the different parts of yourself. From this place of non judgemental awareness changes can organically happen as you connect more with what is really important to you. I am also experienced in relationship counselling in Bath working with couples and family members see below.

    I also offer MIndfulness Based Cognitive Therapy on a one to one basis as well as facilitating Mindfulness groups privately and for BANES Talking Therapies Service and the Royal United Hospital Employee Assistance Programme. This is recommended on the Government NICE guidelines for the treatment of depression and in my experience it is also very helpful with Anxiety, OCD, Stress, Chronic Conditions such as CFS, Trauma and Addictions.

    Family Constellations ( Bert Hellinger) is a powerful way to work with family dynamics and relationships as well as personal issues. I have trained in Family Constellations with Barbara Morgan UKCP registered psychotherapist and incorporate this approach into my counselling, couples therapy and family therapy work where appropriate.

    I have been working with couples offering relationship counselling in Bath for the past 15 years I can help you and your partner understand the issues you have in your relationship and the roots of these difficulties. I am skilled at forming a trusting working alliance with both parties this ensures that both parties can be more open and honest about their feelings, thoughts and experiences. I can also help you and your partner to find ways to improve communication and rebuild trust and closeness if this is appropriate.
